2nd is the second album of Italian electronic music composer Giuseppe Ielasi under the Inventing Masks moniker. In comparison to the first Inventing Masks album from last year, 2nd is texturally much richer, even luxurious. Ielasis' generative beats evolved into polyrhythms that give 2nd an air of restrained funkiness, not unlike fellow composers Jan Jelinek or Andrew Pekler. It seems Giuseppe Ielasi eventually found his very own niche.
